Often it is a very frequent asked query that what is the difference between MBA & PGDM?   Full abbreviations are MBA – Master of Business Administration, PGDM – Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

Naturally MBA aspirants need to be clear and understand that MBA is two years full time program approved by AICTE and affiliated to any statutory University

And PGDM is two years full time program only approved by AICTE (NON UNIVERSITY) The Course Structure of PGDM Program can be updated each year to suit the requirements of the industry. The institute has flexibility in running the course.

Even all 13 IIMs offer PGDM programs. Both MBA & PGDM are acceptable by Industry and it is difference of nomenclature.

University may have their own entrance exam for the  intake of students whereas most of private AICTE approved Institutes accept valid scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP, ATMA, CMAT besides IIMs accept CAT scores only.
